Location & arrival

The setting

Current camp-specific operator factsheet locates Porini Cheetah Camp in Ol Kinyei Conservancy, distinct from Porini Mara Camp and Porini Ol Kinyei Safari Cottages. Its selected product identifies access to neighbouring Naboisho. This does not make the camp an inside-Reserve property or confer access to unrelated conservancies.

Gate & airstrip access

The fly-in package includes scheduled Wilson–Mara–Wilson flights, Ol Seki airstrip transfers and specified shared airport transfers. Flight schedules, luggage allowance and onward connections depend on the chosen service. Road stays and other landing points are separate products; no fixed drive duration or distance is established.

Good to know

Families & children

The camp factsheet welcomes children over eight; the fly-in flyer has an eight-to-sixteen sharing band and describes under-eight stays as unsuitable. Rooming and prices depend on ages and beds, while walks, balloon flights and other activities have separate eligibility. Escorted movement and night-safety arrangements apply around tents and wildlife.

Accessibility

Tent entrances, bathrooms, outdoor dining paths and open-sided vehicle boarding affect individual accessibility. Assistance depends on the traveller and allocated tent; a universal step-free specification is not established. Escorted movement and the camp’s night-safety arrangements apply in this wildlife setting.

Rates & booking

The adult-sharing price is the entire two-night fly-in package, with a minimum of two guests. It includes shared conservancy drives; a sole-use vehicle costs USD 375.00 per vehicle per day, for at least two days, or USD 750.00 for that minimum period. USD 620.00 per person is an additional-night extension after the initial package, rather than a standalone nightly tariff. November Reserve entry is additional. General operator terms describe a 25% deposit and balance 60 days before departure; published cancellation charges are 25% from booking to 120 days, 35% under 120 to 60 days, 50% under 60 to 30 days, 75% under 30 to 15 days and 100% within three days. The wording for the 90% band is unclear; exact boundary treatment remains unspecified. Tax treatment is unspecified. Our private safari arrangements use dedicated transport and guiding with scheduled compulsory charges. General operator terms add 3% when the final balance is paid by card or PayPal; deposit or full-invoice payment in one transaction has no operator fee. Issuer handling charges are separate. Comprehensive travel insurance is required from confirmation or deposit; package evacuation cover does not replace it.
