Oloololo Gate is a road entrance and authorised admission-ticket point for the Mara Triangle. It is relevant to the Aitong approach and escarpment-side accommodation outside the Triangle.
Oloololo Gate: approach and gate role
The Mara Conservancy identifies the Aitong approach for escarpment-side stays, including Kichwa Tembo, Bateleur and Kilima. Its route via Sekenani and Purungat Bridge is a different approach, particularly relevant to Mara Serena. Western Kenya arrivals also have their own route context.
Camp access and arrival
Triangle admission is cashless, using M-Pesa or credit card. The published gate hours are 06:00–19:00, with no vehicle entry after 18:30. The daytime ticket window is 06:00–18:00; it is separate from the gate’s opening hours and the conditions of a particular stay.
Admission and visitor documents
Use the Reserve entry guide for the visitor-category documents and ticket conditions that apply to the stay. Direct admission is arranged through the KAPS ticket portal. An outside camp and a stay inside the Reserve have different arrival and daily-entry arrangements.
