Sekenani Gate is a main Maasai Mara National Reserve entrance on the tarmacked approach from Narok. It serves road arrivals to this side of the Reserve and the through-Reserve route towards Purungat Bridge and Mara Serena.

Sekenani Gate: approach and gate role
The public road from Narok reaches Sekenani on tarmac. Beyond the entrance, Reserve tracks have their own surfaces and seasonal conditions. The Mara Conservancy identifies this approach for a journey to Mara Serena through the main Reserve and Purungat Bridge.
Camp access and arrival
Sarova Mara Game Camp identifies Sekenani for road access to its inside-Reserve location. Mara Sopa, outside the Reserve, names Sekenani and Oloolaimutia for wildlife access. The camp’s boundary location determines whether the arrival is an inside stay or an outside base with separate Reserve outings.

Admission and visitor documents
Use the Reserve entry guide for the visitor-category documents and ticket conditions that apply to the stay. Direct admission is arranged through the KAPS ticket portal. An outside camp and a stay inside the Reserve have different arrival and daily-entry arrangements.
