Talek Gate is a main Maasai Mara National Reserve entrance serving the Talek area. Stays around the settlement and river include properties outside the Reserve, so the accommodation location and daily entry programme belong together.
Talek Gate: approach and gate role
Internal Reserve roads connect the Sekenani, Keekorok and Talek areas. A route through the Reserve has a different admission context from an outside approach. The transfer itinerary should identify the route actually being used and the booked property’s entrance.
Camp access and arrival
Talek combines a settlement, a road gate, riverside accommodation and wildlife habitat. The Talek River is distinct from the Mara River. For the wider camp setting and wildlife interests, use the Talek area guide; the gate controls road entry to the Reserve.
Admission and visitor documents
Use the Reserve entry guide for the visitor-category documents and ticket conditions that apply to the stay. Direct admission is arranged through the KAPS ticket portal. An outside camp and a stay inside the Reserve have different arrival and daily-entry arrangements.
