Published times represent the first Mara stop. A minimum of two passengers per airstrip applies; intermediate stops change the time at individual strips.
AirKenya routes and connections
From Nanyuki/Kamok, Lewa, Loisaba, Meru and Samburu, AirKenya links northern safari areas with the Mara. Some low-season journeys route through Wilson. Amboseli connects through Wilson. Serengeti itineraries use a cross-border connection through Migori and Tarime with a ground transfer and immigration formalities. AirKenya does not operate a scheduled coastal service.
AirKenya aircraft and cabin
AirKenya lists the Twin Otter, Dash 7 and Dash 8 for its Kenya services. Its wider group also lists Cessna Caravans. Aircraft are allocated to the route and passenger load; an airline-wide fleet list is not a promise of a particular aircraft on your ticket.
AirKenya baggage and equipment
The published allowance is 15 kg per person, including hand luggage, in soft bags. Equipment and excess weight need advance arrangements and available aircraft capacity. Keep cameras, small handbags and laptops within the same total. Children with their own eligible ticket receive the published child allowance; lap infants do not receive a separate allowance.
Airport arrival and check-in
Arrive for Wilson check-in 60 minutes before departure and for bush-airstrip check-in 30 minutes before departure. The airline asks travellers to obtain their strip’s approximate time from operations on the travel day. An international arrival at JKIA requires a separate transfer to Wilson.
Land near your Maasai Mara camp
Ol Seki, Ol Kiombo, Musiara, Mara North, Ngerende, Mara Serena, Kichwa Tembo and Olare Orok feature in AirKenya’s Mara network. Keekorok appears in published listings, but airstrip operating notices and the booked camp’s transfer arrangements determine the actual landing point.

AirKenya ticket and charter conditions
Children aged two to eleven pay 70% of the adult fare under AirKenya’s published policy. Fare conditions govern changes, cancellation and no-shows. Cross-border services have seasonal operating restrictions, so the confirmed through itinerary must include the applicable border transfer and onward flight.
Keep the confirmed route, passenger details, reporting time and ticket conditions together. A flight enquiry is a request for availability and a quotation; it does not hold a seat or aircraft. The accepted booking establishes the service and its payment and cancellation terms.
