Phoenix Aviation offers private charter flights from Nairobi, with Cessna Caravans serving remote locations including the Maasai Mara. Its wider fleet also supports executive and regional travel, allowing the aircraft to be selected around the route and landing requirements.

Plan your Phoenix Aviation flight
Phoenix Aviation does not publish a fixed Mara transfer tariff on the fleet page used here. A quotation must identify the actual aircraft, airports, landing strip, passengers and all chargeable flying sectors.

Phoenix Aviation charter schedule
Private charters use an agreed departure time and route rather than a fixed public Mara timetable. Aircraft availability, safe operating conditions and the destination airstrip govern the confirmed programme. The charter quotation establishes the individual flight timings.
Phoenix Aviation routes and connections
Phoenix explicitly identifies Maasai Mara operations for its Caravan fleet. Private routes can link Nairobi with a Mara lodge airstrip or form part of a wider regional itinerary. The aircraft’s base, any repositioning and the chosen departure airport affect the arrangement. A direct JKIA pickup must be part of the agreed service rather than assumed from a Nairobi booking.

Phoenix Aviation aircraft and cabin
The Cessna C208 Caravan is the operator’s bush-access aircraft. Phoenix also lists a pressurised King Air 200 for appropriate lodge or regional missions, with eight passenger seats in the published configuration. Its Citation jets serve other executive routes; their presence in the fleet does not mean they can use a particular Mara bush strip.
Phoenix Aviation baggage and equipment
The booked aircraft’s load and baggage compartment determine the accepted luggage. Declare passenger and luggage weights, oversized equipment and mobility equipment in advance so the charter can be planned correctly. Soft bags are practical for bush-aircraft loading; no unrestricted baggage allowance is implied by hiring the aircraft privately.
Airport arrival and check-in
Use the reporting point and time in the charter confirmation. Coordinate the camp transfer with the actual landing strip, and allow for the journey between JKIA and Wilson if the charter departs there. Weather, runway conditions and aircraft performance requirements can change the operational plan.
Land near your Maasai Mara camp
A charter landing strip is chosen around the camp’s location, runway suitability and agreed aircraft. The shortest flight does not always produce the easiest ground transfer. Your booking should identify the airstrip, camp collection and any onward drive together.
The Maasai Mara airstrip guide explains the landing areas. Browse camps and lodges to match the flight with your accommodation; reserve or conservancy access and game drives are separate from the flight unless included in your package.

Phoenix Aviation ticket and charter conditions
The quote should itemise the aircraft, route, passenger basis, positioning and any waiting or overnight costs. Confirm whether the return sector is part of the same charter arrangement. Passenger transport, medical evacuation and executive-jet services are different products; the aircraft and equipment needed for one should not be assumed for another.
Phoenix’s wider operation includes medevac and aircraft maintenance. Those capabilities describe the business rather than a medical service automatically included in a safari transfer. Travel insurance, emergency assistance and any specialised transport should be addressed separately in the trip arrangements.
Keep the confirmed route, passenger details, reporting time and ticket conditions together. A flight enquiry is a request for availability and a quotation; it does not hold a seat or aircraft. The accepted booking establishes the service and its payment and cancellation terms.
