Angama Mara’s tented suites combine canvas design with furnished interiors, private decks and en-suite bathrooms. Interconnected suites provide separate sleeping spaces for families, while the Pavilion, beading studio and photographic studio add choices between drives. Location & arrival
The setting
On the Oloololo Escarpment above the Mara Triangle, with safari access to the Reserve below. The lodge is on the escarpment, outside the Reserve boundary; staying here does not include Reserve entry.
Gate & airstrip access
Nearest Reserve access: Angama’s camp-specific gate, reached by the lodge’s private access road into the Mara Triangle. This is private lodge access, not a public road gate.
Public gate nearby: Oloololo Gate serves the northern Mara Triangle. Your driver and lodge agree the approach route.
Fly-in arrival: Angama’s own airfield is an option. The base lodge tariff also includes transfers to and from Kichwa Tembo and Serena airstrips. Connecting flights and other transfers are specified in your quote.

Families & children
Children of all ages are welcome. Children aged 12 and under share a triple with parents or siblings unless an additional suite is booked on the lodge’s Family Stay terms. Families with children aged 0–6 must reserve a private vehicle when booking fewer than 3 suites. Interconnected suites are available, with supplements and family terms confirmed in the quote.
Accessibility
The lodge describes a wheelchair-friendly suite. This is a specific accommodation feature; it does not establish step-free access throughout the whole property or suitability of every safari vehicle.
Rates & booking
This is the lodge’s base starting tariff, not a complete private safari price. Rates and private vehicle arrangements depend on travel dates, room configuration and party size. The lodge allocates one private safari vehicle per three Tented Suites booked; additional vehicles are extra. Confirmed safari packages include their specified compulsory charges. Special offers and family arrangements have their own conditions.
