Location & arrival

The setting

In the Oloolaimutia area outside the eastern side of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Oloolaimutia Gate is the Reserve approach used for safari planning.

Gate & airstrip access

The camp is reached by road in the Oloolaimutia area. Keekorok Airstrip is an option for fly-in stays, with the flight, pickup, airstrip transfer and applicable Reserve entry forming the accepted arrival itinerary. Transfers are extra unless included in the selected booking. Arrival is arranged in advance because reception is limited and after-hours check-in is not available.

Families & children

Children are welcome and family tents are available. Infant cots are not provided. Family arrangements depend on each child’s age, the allocated tent, sleeping layout and any extra bed. Child accommodation and activity eligibility are separate; a family tent does not guarantee that a particular walk or balloon flight accepts every age. Children remain under parent or guardian supervision around the outdoor camp, with the guide’s safety instructions applying to outings.

Accessibility

Tent entrances have raised platforms and steps. Accessibility depends on the allocated entrance, bathroom layout, route to dining and boarding arrangements for the booked safari vehicle.

Rates & booking

Full-board accommodation covers the selected tent and meals, with vehicles and Reserve entry separate. Reception is limited, arrivals are arranged in advance and after-hours check-in is unavailable. Cash is accepted at camp; card payments use a separate Nairobi-office process. Taxes and compulsory property charges may be additional. Deposit, payment and cancellation terms vary with the booking. Complete private safaris include dedicated vehicles, guiding, scheduled Reserve entry and compulsory selected-property charges. The client pays the authorised tour operator that plans and fulfils the safari. Prices vary by dates, accommodation and party size.
