Julia’s River Camp occupies a wooded bend of the Talek River inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Classic tents are in Hippo Camp, Classic Superior accommodation is in Buffalo Camp, and VIP tents have separate communal spaces. Raised wooden platforms and private verandas overlook the river. Full Board excludes game drives; the distinct Game Package includes scheduled camp drives, with an exclusive vehicle available at an extra charge. Hippo, Buffalo and VIP are areas of one camp. Classic, Classic Superior, VIP and a requested family arrangement are separate room choices. The setting

On a wooded bend of the Talek River inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Hippo, Buffalo and VIP are three areas of one camp. The riverbank setting offers views and bird interest, without guaranteed sightings. Staff safety guidance applies around the river and between tents.

Gate & airstrip access

Road access through Talek Gate varies with the route and current track conditions. Fly-in connections depend on the landing strip, onward transfer and flight timings. Transfers are separately charged.

Families & children

Children are accepted. Children aged sixteen and below must share a tent with an adult. Children below five are free under the accommodation terms; separately payable access, transport and activity charges are not automatically waived. Family tents are available by advance arrangement and have distinct capacity and eligible-party rules. Actual child prices and rooming depend on age and sleeping arrangement. Parents remain responsible around the river, decks and wildlife; activities have separate eligibility conditions.

Raised platforms and wooden approaches are visible. Individual accessibility depends on the tent approach, bathroom layout and vehicle boarding.

Rates & booking

Full Board excludes game drives; Game Package includes scheduled camp drives. An exclusive vehicle has a separate supplement and depends on availability. Our complete private safaris include dedicated transport and guiding with scheduled compulsory charges; Accommodation Only retains the camp service basis. A 50% deposit secures the booking, with the remaining 50% due at least 30 days before arrival. Bookings made 30 days or less before arrival require full payment at booking. Cancellation fees: 31 days and over, none; 30 to 15 days, 50%; from 14 days and no-show, 100%.
