The setting

In the private Kichwa concession beneath the Oloololo Escarpment beside the western Maasai Mara National Reserve. Reserve game drives explore the Mara Triangle. Guided concession activities follow the property programme and are separate from permission to walk or drive at night in the National Reserve.

Gate & airstrip access

Fly-in arrival: Kichwa Tembo Airstrip serves Bateleur; lodge-airstrip transfers are included in the standard tariff. Flights are booked separately.

Road approach: The operator map distinguishes Bateleur and Kichwa Tembo and identifies Turia and Oloololo gates. The selected itinerary determines the route and applicable entrance charges.

Families & children

Children aged five and younger cannot join regular game drives: private-vehicle or specially arranged children’s drives are required. Children aged six to eleven join regular drives only at the manager’s discretion. Walks outside camp are restricted to guests aged sixteen and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult around the unfenced camp. Connected family accommodation has its own price.

Rates & booking

The From price is the non-peak 2026 Luxury Tent tariff; family accommodation has a separate whole-family tariff. Single-room supplements and long-stay offers depend on dates and booking configuration. Accommodation Only follows the selected room and board basis.
