Kichwa Tembo combines private tent accommodation with a shared pool and split-level guest areas. Superior and Superior View Tents have different outlooks; connected family arrangements use existing tents and are quoted as their own product. Superior Family configuration

Family arrangements connect existing tents through interleading walkways. The published family basis accommodates two adults and two children, with a third child only on request at extra cost. Family accommodation has a whole-family tariff and is not the standard Superior Tent PPS price.

Family arrangements connect existing guest tents and are not added again to the total inventory. A family configuration is quoted as its own product. Superior and Superior View positions have different outlooks; the available configuration depends on the selected booking. Ordinary power, drinking water and housekeeping are available.

Guided walks

Guided nature walks are arranged on the private concession, with age and safety restrictions. This is not general walking permission inside the National Reserve.

Balloon safari

Balloon safaris cost extra and depend on operator arrangements and weather. Flights are not included in the lodge starting amount.

The setting

On a private concession bordering the western Maasai Mara National Reserve, beneath the Oloololo Escarpment. Reserve game drives explore the Mara Triangle; the concession setting allows separately arranged guided nature walks. Reserve entry and conservation charges are extra to the base lodge tariff.

Gate & airstrip access

Public gate nearby: Oloololo Gate serves the northern Mara Triangle. The operator’s map also identifies Turia Gate near the Kichwa concession; the road approach and applicable entry depend on the itinerary.

Fly-in arrival: Kichwa Tembo Airstrip serves the camp. Transfers between the lodge airstrip and camp are included in the standard lodge tariff.

Road arrival: Private road transfers and scheduled flights are separate arrangements. Journey time varies with the route and conditions.

Families & children

Families are welcome. Children aged five and younger do not join regular game drives: a private vehicle or specially arranged children’s drive is required. Children aged six to eleven join regular drives only at the lodge manager’s discretion. Walks outside the lodge are restricted to guests aged sixteen and over. Children need adult supervision around camp and at the pool. Family and extra-bed tariffs are quoted separately.

Accessibility

The split-level guest area, paths and tent configuration require an individual mobility assessment. Assistance depends on the selected accommodation and route; whole-property step-free access is not established.

Rates & booking

The starting amount is the standard Superior Tent accommodation tariff, not a complete private safari package. Rates depend on travel dates, room product, party size, private guiding and compulsory charges. Superior View and family products have different tariffs. Single occupancy and extra children have their own terms. Long-stay and other offers are conditional and are not assumed in this starting amount.
