Staying at Elephant Pepper Camp

Elephant Pepper Camp combines shaded Safari Tents with Honeymoon / Family Suites whose sitting rooms can provide a separate children’s sleeping space under the booked occupancy terms. Private verandas offer quiet time between outings. The Game Package includes shared drives and designated airstrip transfers; an ordinary two-adult booking does not guarantee a dedicated vehicle. Four double and four twin tents · Private en-suite bathroom

Canvas tents with dark-wood campaign furniture, spacious bathrooms and private verandas or hammocks. Each can accommodate one extra bed for a child under 16, subject to the booked arrangement. Two adults sharing this category form the starting tariff.

Honeymoon / Family Suites

Master bedroom and sitting room convertible for children · Private en-suite bathroom

Suites at either end of the camp with a private veranda, double washbasins, flush toilet and hot-water shower. The sitting room can serve as a second bedroom for children under 16. Suite tariffs are whole-unit amounts with their own occupancy terms, not the ordinary Safari Tent PPS price.

Ten main-camp guest units: eight Safari Tents and two Honeymoon / Family Suites. Four doubles and four twins describe the Safari Tent inventory, not extra units. Little Elephant Pepper has a separate product and tariff; it is not added here. The wildlife photograph illustrates the wider safari landscape rather than a sighting promised at camp.

Two-hour guided walking safari included subject to eligibility and guide approval. Longer walks are extra. Child accommodation eligibility is separate from bush-walk eligibility.

Location & arrival

The setting

In Mara North Conservancy, north of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Guest tents stand beneath fig and elephant pepper trees with views towards the savannah. Mara North is a managed conservancy with restricted vehicle access; it is separate from the National Reserve.

Gate & airstrip access

Fly-in arrival: Mara North Airstrip is the designated arrival point and its transfers are included in the Game Package. The current operator also lists Musiara as an alternative, with separate transfer arrangements; do not assume it has the same allowance. Flights are extra.

Road arrival: Agree the approach and camp meeting point for the actual departure location and road conditions. Only authorised vehicles may conduct drives in Mara North. An outside driver does not automatically have conservancy driving permission.

Reserve outings: Plan the appropriate public entry gate and route with the guide for the booked outing. Reserve visitor, vehicle and applicable landing charges remain separate; no nearest-gate or numerical transfer-time promise is made.

Families & children

Children are welcome. Safari Tents can take an extra bed for a child under 16, while Honeymoon / Family Suites have a sitting room convertible into a children’s bedroom under their own occupancy terms. Give every child’s age when requesting accommodation. Guided bush walks have separate eligibility: the supplier terms say children over 16 may participate at the guide’s discretion. Camp-based children’s activities are distinct from a bush walking safari. No childcare facility is claimed; parents and guardians remain responsible for supervision.

Accessibility

Describe mobility, steps, bathroom and vehicle-boarding requirements before booking. Guest verandas have steps and accommodation is reached through a natural camp setting. No verified step-free room or wheelchair-accessible bathroom specification is claimed.

Rates & booking

The ordinary Game Package includes shared drives, not a dedicated vehicle for two adults. Private vehicle allocation depends on the actual booking and supplier group/child terms. Our complete private safari quote specifies dedicated guiding and authorised transport, with scheduled compulsory conservancy, Reserve and vehicle charges included. Confirm the room, occupancy and minimum stay for the selected dates.
