The 74-room total includes the Mara Suite. The remaining 73 are Standard Rooms, with double, twin and family arrangements confirmed when booking. Family and triple arrangements are part of the accommodation inventory, not extra rooms added to the total. Confirm the actual connected layout, child sharing and extra-bed allocation for the booking.

Location & arrival

The setting

On a bush-covered hill inside the Mara Triangle, the western sector of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The lodge has views over the plains and Mara River landscape. This is a permanent lodge with shared dining, a swimming pool and wellness facilities, rather than a canvas camp or a private conservancy stay.

Gate & airstrip access

Fly-in arrival: Mara Serena Airstrip serves the lodge. Meet-and-greet and airstrip transfers can be arranged with prior notice; neither the flight nor transfer is included in the stated full-board base.

Road arrival: The Mara Conservancy recommends the Sekenani route for Mara Serena, entering the Triangle at Purungat Bridge. Oloololo Gate is another Triangle entry point; the appropriate approach depends on the itinerary.

Reserve entry: Triangle fees are paid according to the stay location. For a Triangle stay travelling through Sekenani, arrange the correct entry payment at Purungat rather than paying the wrong sector fee. Your driver handles the route and applicable visitor and vehicle charges in the written itinerary.

Family accommodation is available, with interconnecting rooms, extra beds and baby cots arranged on request. Children’s menus, high chairs, baby-friendly food and early meals are available; dietary needs should be given in advance. Babysitting requires prior notice and carries a charge. Child accommodation prices and sharing arrangements need an age-specific written quote; no free-stay age threshold or blanket fee waiver is promised. Supervise children around the pool and follow staff guidance outside the room.

Accessibility

Give details of mobility, bathroom and vehicle-access needs before booking. The hilltop setting and paths between room buildings and shared spaces should be assessed for the particular guest. No verified step-free room or wheelchair-accessible bathroom specification is claimed here.

The starting amount is for adult sharing accommodation, not a suite, family total or complete private safari. Our all-inclusive private safari quote specifies dedicated guiding, transport and all scheduled compulsory visitor and vehicle charges together.
