Staying at Olarro Lodge

Olarro Lodge sits on the Loita hillside in its private conservancy, with thatched cottages, terracotta shared spaces and views across the surrounding grasslands. The lodge programme combines full-board dining and selected drinks with scheduled shared conservancy activities; exclusive vehicle use is a separate arrangement. Children are welcome, while quad-bike outings outside the compound are for guests aged sixteen and over. The setting

The hillside Olarro retreat in the Loita foothills, near Ngoswani village in the Greater Maasai Mara. It is in the private Olarro conservancy setting outside the National Reserve, and is distinct from Olarro Plains. Conservancy activities and separately arranged Reserve visits have different access and charge conditions.

Gate & airstrip access

The operator lists Siana and Mara Keekorok airstrip transfers within the booked camp arrangement, with airstrip choice and the actual meeting plan confirmed before buying a flight. Helicopter arrival to Olarro Lodge can be arranged separately. Flights, helicopter services and road transfers beyond the included arrangement cost extra. Plan the actual arrival route and timing with the lodge before travel.

Families & children

Children are welcome and the retreat compound is fenced. Children’s activities and nature walks take place within the protected lodge perimeter with trained guides. Parents and guardians must supervise children, including around pools. Quad-bike safaris outside the compound are restricted to guests aged sixteen and over. Extra beds, cots, babysitting and family sleeping arrangements need acceptance for the booked cottage or separate suite.

Accessibility

Agree the selected cottage, hillside paths to the lounge and pool, bathroom layout and vehicle boarding against individual access needs before booking.

Rates & booking

The included conservancy programme does not guarantee exclusive use of a vehicle. A dedicated private vehicle and guide must be quoted separately. Our complete private safari quote specifies dedicated guiding and includes the scheduled compulsory charges. Accommodation Only retains the booked lodge service basis. Activities follow the programme and local conditions; extra activities can cost more. Arrival time, selected airstrip, deposit, balance and cancellation conditions are agreed before confirmation. No cancellation flexibility is inferred from the displayed starting amount.
